Carrie Cornils Artist

I create art that makes the viewer feel joy! I strive to create happy and colorful art for the purpose of lifting moods and spirits. Color, if used correctly, heals the body and soul!!

I have loved creating art for as long as I can remember. I studied art all through school. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.   My fine arts professor was John Chapman Lewis a member of the Washington School and well known DC area artist. I continue to educate myself on new mediums, techniques and supplies. I am currently studying pastels under well known pastelists Shawn Dell Joyce, Alain Picard, Laura Pollak and Karen Margulis.

I went on to a career in commercial interior design in the Washington DC area for many years.  During my career, my art branched into graphic art, landscape design and furniture design.  My art is in collections all over the United States, and eight other countries.

My work has been seen at these juried exhibitions: Sears Art Museum, National Association of Women Artist, Water
